When I come back to the Big Island of Hawaii I do this tour again

“Amazing Tours” should be what this tour company changes its name to! We did the Twilight Volcano & Star Gazing Tour and it was incredible! We went to a Kona Coffee Farm to learn about their great coffee then enjoyed a nice lunch on the coffee farm overlooking beautiful views. Then we went off to a black sand beach where we got to observe sea turtles in a protected area as well as in the ocean. Definitely want to make sure you keep an eye on the waves or you will be walking out with wet socks!

Then off to a local bakery that had Malasadas (Portuguese Donuts with a Hawaiian twist). Such a cute place and the donuts were delicious! Do yourself a favor and just get two donuts to split with someone; so many varieties to choose from. Next stop was Volcanoes National Park where we got to see the active volcano, craters, lava flows, and walk through a Lava Tube! Every stop has just enough time to enjoy learning something new but kept us moving and looking forward to the next location.

Dinner was at the Lava Rock Cafe and it was superb! From the Coconut Crusted Mahi Mahi to the 1/4 Pound Burger w/ Fries to the Ribs; every meal in our group was delicious with a generous portion. Pick your favorite or try something new! Either way you will not be disappointed. Last stop was to the top of Saddle Road near Mauna Kea for some clear sky stargazing. Even with the moon out at 80% the views were still incredible. Definitely a perfect way to close out such an amazing tour.

The best part of the entire tour was our Tour Guide, Aaron! He was such a wealth of knowledge from local history to the Hawaiian Culture & language to the Dad Jokes; Aaron made the tour feel like we were on a field trip to one of the coolest places on earth. I felt that he really tied the entire tour together with his professionalism, knowledge, and positive personality.

When I come back to the Big Island of Hawaii to do this tour again, I will ask for Aaron! I am sure that the second time around I will catch more of the great knowledge & information he was sharing with us. He really was the highlight of the tour and that says a lot especially when we are touring such a beautiful location as the Big Island of Hawaii. :0)
