No, this combo tour needs to be reserved over two different days in no particular order.

For safety, all guests must be able to swim 50 yards unassisted, have prior snorkeling experience, able-bodied, not be pregnant, and good mental health. Kids ages 5+ are welcome if they meet these requirements. Our vessel is not suitable for those with limited mobility and is a safety hazard.

Manta ray sighting rates consistently run 85–95% on most nights of the year — among the highest reliable encounter rates for any wild animal experience in the world. Every Captain logs every sighting after each departure, tracking patterns across nights and seasons. The Manta Guarantee applies if mantas are not seen.

All snorkeling guests must be confident swimmers and comfortable floating on the surface in open ocean at night. The crew does not teach swimming onboard. Guests who prefer not to enter the water are warmly welcome as Ride-Along observers.

It’s better to be PROACTIVE instead of REACTIVE when you’re headed out on the ocean.  If you’ve experienced seasickness before then take proactive measures to prevent it again.  If you don’t know if you get seasick take proactive measures to help never experience it.  Even if the ocean is dead calm you may still get seasick – we cannot tell you how your body will react to the motion of the ocean.

Our land tour will operate rain and shine. Snorkel tour may be cancelled due to inclement weather. We will notify you as soon as possible if the tour is cancelled.

Because the Big Island is so expansive, we do cover a lot of ground, but we pace the itinerary with frequent stops every 45 minutes to 1 hour. You won’t be stuck in a vehicle for long stretches. The drive itself is highly scenic, and our premium Mercedes Sprinters feature large panoramic windows and spacious seating to keep the ride comfortable between destinations.

Cell service is reliable near major towns like Kona, Hilo, and Waimea, but there are several remote stretches along the southern coastline, the Hamakua Coast, and within sections of the National Park where service can drop completely. We recommend downloading offline maps or handling important communications before departure so you can disconnect and fully enjoy the scenery.

We will have a couple of easy hikes over a short distance on this tour. The total hiking distance is about 1.5 miles.
